Alexis Pommier - Owner / Stylist
Alexis has been working in the industry for nearly 13 years, but she knew at a young age that she wanted to be a hairstylist. She has a strong passion for cut and color and blonding services. She believes in making her clients look their best so they can feel their best. She also helps her clients with achieving the same look at home as she does in the salon.
Alexis loves to build strong relationships with her clients!
Alexis attended the well respected Carsten Aveda Institute in Tempe Arizona. While she was there she really found her passion for the craft of being a hairstylist. She was awarded the "All Smiles " award. That award still rings true today. That is her main goal to bring smiles to every client while giving them a hairstyle that they feel confident in!
Alexis recently purchased The Chair Salon at the beginning of 2024. Not only does she want to see her clients happy but she also wants her stylists happy and passionate about their work.
Brittney Miller - Stylist
Originally from Michigan, Brittney is a very talented and experienced hairstylist with over 16 years in the beauty industry. Her specialties include dimensional color, lived in blondes, and personalized haircuts that maintain shape and integrity.
Through years of education, certifications, and hair classes, Brittney takes pride in staying up-to-date with the latest hair trends, and techniques. Her in-depth and thorough consultations guarantee you are being heard and understood. She will also give honest feedback to maintain what expectations should be for that appointment.
With her Midwest upbringing, Brittney is known for having a very bubbly yet laid-back personality that makes clients feel comfortable, safe, and at home during every one of their visits.
When she isn't behind the chair, Brittney loves participating in Rec league sports, reading psychological thrillers and doing numerous outdoor activities with her husband and dog Netty.

Bree Kelly - Stylist
After graduating from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2012 Bree returned to her hometown of Durango. Bree loves being a part of touchstones in her clients’ lives. She also loves describing herself as a “day maker”. A talented Make Up Artist as well as Hair Stylist Bree’s work has been featured in our local Durango Wedding magazine as well as Rocky Mountain Bridal magazine. Bree is passionate about her profession and enjoys the challenge of staying relevant and educated. Other than makeup and updos, her favorite services are lived-in bob’s, balayage and blonding. Bree has a steady clientele but is always excited to see new faces in her chair!
Shay Prator - Stylist
Shay is a former Southwest native. She has made her way back home from Austin, Texas where she started her career 9 years ago. Shay’s priority is to create a safe and relaxing space for each guest that sits in her chair. It is important to Shay that everyone feels comfortable sharing openly along their hair journey.
Through the years she has harnessed a love for mid to long cutting styles, educating on hair health and creating low maintenance color whether it is blonding, balayage, vivid colors, traditional highlighting while maintaining the integrity of your hair. She can’t wait to meet you!

Miles Davis - Stylist
Miles has been working as a stylist in Durango since 2015. My training started at the Aveda institute of Denver in 2007, where I focused on cutting, coloring and the importance of a good consultation. I’m comfortable with a wide variety of cutting, from pixie cuts to long hair. My men’s cuts are done mainly with scissors, which I find allows smoother outgrowth. With hair color I enjoy doing highlights and silver coverage or blending. Most of my guests prefer a more natural looking color that is easily maintained. A great haircut or color starts with a good consultation. I look forward to helping you with your hair, whether you are maintaining a look or wanting something new. Mika Phillips - Stylist
Mika is a Durango transplant from Rochester Ny. She has been crafting beautiful hair since 2017. She loves creative hair projects and specializes in lived in blonding, creative color, textured cuts on all hair lengths: including curly hair and men’s cuts. Mika has a passion for styling hair for weddings and other formal events. As a young stylist her work, guided by her mentor was published in Modern Salon Magazine. When Mika isn’t at the salon you can find her roller skating on the river trail, harvesting medicinal plants up in the mountains and all the other classic mountain town shenanigans.
Megan Reynolds - Salon Manager
Megan, our salon manager, came to us from the hotel hospitality industry in 2021 with more than 20 years’ experience in customer service. She brings with her a high level of customer service and a detail-oriented background. She enjoys assisting clients secure the correct appointment with the stylist that best fits their needs. She also looks forward to making them feel welcome and chatting them up when they come in. When she's not in the salon, you can find her on the trails, mountain biking, hiking, and XC skiing or relaxing at home with her husband and 2 miniature dachshunds.
